I have used trader on two occasions and, on both, have found them helpful and reliable. On the first occasion, the electrician spent some time trying to find the cause of a problem with lighting in my kitchen and, much to relief, he finally did so. On the second, having solved my electric light problem in my bathroom, a different electrician offered useful advise on my electronic smoke alarm. I liked the fact that he had a young man, presumably an apprentice, with him - call me old fashioned, but it's obviously the best way to learn a trade.... I find them reliable and good value for money and recommend their service.

Shane converted our integral garage into a living room. He quoted a fixed price, worked on site without breaks for other jobs and did a cracking job. We were very pleased and will have him back for some other work later this year

trader is an excellent electrician. He recently re-wired our house and he arrived on time each day, did what he said he was going to do, and left the place tidy. He only did work that needed to be done, kept us informed of what he was doing, and worked hard with determination and a good sense of humour. We strongly recommend trader .

I have used this tradesman on several occasions for a variety of electrical work, both major and minor. The work has always been completed to my total satisfaction and at a fair price.

Just used Paul of PR Allen to install a new en-suite at the end of a corridor including a cupboard. It involved building work and clever plumbing as we have a digital shower. Paul is a one-man band aided by his charming wife sometimes so we called in electricians. His work is really excellent quality and his quote was more than a £1000 cheaper than B&Q. Highly recommended!

I have used Martin for the last 15 years. He is a truly honest worker, who works to a very high professional standard but is not expensive. He doesn't just do the work that's asked of him, but will offer advice and guidance and always adheres to regulations. Martin doesn't do 'short cuts' but does things right. He has undertaken so many jobs for us. Most recently sorting out all the electrics in our new kitchen. This was no small task and included adding new ring mains, channelling out plaster for the new sockets, fitting sockets, switches, lights and installing all the white goods. Martin undertakes the entire end to end job and won't leave sockets dangling etc. Everything was plastered back in place and the sockets, switches and lights etc (all quality products sourced by him but cheaper than I could buy them) were aligned using a laser level. Martin scheduled his work around all the other tradesmen (plasterers, fitters, decorators etc) and even worked weekends and evenings to accommodate their more rigid schedules. The fitters said they had never seen such a neat and professional job. Previously Martin has practically rewired our home, added many new sockets and light fittings, installed an electric shower, extractor fan, installed a new consumer unit and added a new ring main for our new bathroom etc. Last week we called Martin when our immersion stopped working. He visited and discovered that the safety sensors had triggered. He diagnosed what had caused it (we had the thermostat too high), reset everything and checked it was working. He refused to charge any fee saying it only took him 10 minutes or so (plus his travel time). His work is exceptionally neat and tidy. He is fastidiously clean and always tidies up. Martin takes pride in his work and I would unhesitatingly recommend him to everyone.

When electrical switches were switched on or off some of them emitted a buzzing sound and on one occasion there was a small firework display of sparks emitted from the switch. K&K Electrical advertise in a local business directory and the parish circular. My call initiated a likely reason for the problem and an appointment arranged for the following morning when the electrician confirmed the cause....a green oily liquid in the switch. This liquid is apparently the result of a long term reaction between the metal flex and the rubber sheath where the sheath was manufactured with an added chemical to make it pliable. This sheath was used for a short time during the 1960's but later withdrawn. The liquid is toxic and could cause electrical shorting with the possibility of fire. The electricians of K&K, Karl and Keith, organised an early inspection of the circuits throughout my property, provided a reasonable price for the necessary remedial work and the cost of replacement fixtures. Throughout the 3-day's employment both men were fully occupied. They were courteous, helpful and efficient in their work. At no time did they impose their activities any more than necessary on the house occupants and the noise was minimal. It is a joy to use the switches and sockets in my home and know that they have been expertly fitted and are safe. The total cost was below what I had expected and the professional approach of the artisans has already led me to recommend this successful partnership.

Glen is a superb electircian who has wired up all our extensions and kept everything working from sewage treatment centres to internal lighting and smoke alarms. I would happily recommend him and his assistant Chris to anybody.

Having just moved there were a few electrical problems at the new house. I called Steve to see if he could come and look at the jobs I needed doing. He was here the next day and was absolutely brilliant. He did the jobs straightaway and I could not have wished to meet a nicer person. I am thrilled with his work and will use him again in the not too distant future. Highly recommended.

We moved house 12 months ago and needed various tradesmen. An electrician was the hardest of all services to employ. We contacted two electricians listed in our area on Which Local but they didn't seem interested and gave lame excuses and were not interested in doing our electrics. I felt that they were only interested if the work involved full rewiring. We needed sockets moved from the skirting boards and new switches to replace the old ones. It doesn't seem to be a popular job with electricians. I felt despairing - we couldn't get on with the decorating until this important work was done. I took to the local telephone book and contacted a company who promised to come and give an estimate but nobody turned up. I phoned them a second time but mistakenly dialled the number of Eastern Electrical Services. They turned up the following evening - sent me a very fair and sensible quote within a few days and turned up to do the work a couple of weeks later. I couldn't believe my luck. The work was done to a good standard and they sent someone to skim the walls after the new sockets were installed. We were very relieved that the work was completed and we could go ahead with the decorating. The electrician worked quite long hours to complete the work and always turned up on the days he said he would. replacement switches on
