If you are looking for a traditional local pub that concentrates on Beer not food then I can recommend the Warncliffe. We have used this pub for several years and find its a real pub for real people, but in spite of this its not a spit and sawdust style pub. You can relax and enjoy a chat in comfort.

I have been using this restaurant for years, both for family events and meals for two. The restaurant is off the beaten track on a hill overlooking the colne valley with marvellous views. Most of the food is prepared on the premises and is well cooked and served by friendly staff. There is a wide range of Sunday lunch dishes as well as the normal a la carte menu. I make a point of phoning on the day to book a table because the restaurant does get busy at times, although food is also served in the bar.

I have eaten here several times recently with my husband and children. The menu is varied & extensive the portion sizes are more than ample and everything is very reasonably priced. Most importantly though, the food is delicious. The pub itself has beautiful views, traditional cosy surroundings, clean facilities and helpful friendly staff. The only downside is that it gets extremely busy at weekends so It's probably best to book in advance. I will definately be returning!

I have used trader for 20 years. In the last year I have entertained groups of 15 people at dinners on 3 occasions & had lunches on perhaps a dozen occasions. The menu is large, the food is excellent & I have never faulted the service. There is a good choice of wines & beers.

Great Real Ale and the Peroni is good value. Our order was taken in the Bar and we were called through to the newly refurbished Tasker Room where we ate, the food was truly great and we had a choice of wines from 2 wine lists. A memorable experience, we will do it again.
