Camra pub of the season, Winter 2012, see website, this is an excellent pub serving beautiful food, good beer and often, many local ciders. The environment is good and the car parking easy. The scenery round the village of Woolhope is good too. Prices are reasonable for the high quality provided.

Excellent quality food & drink, whether it's a lunchtime break or a more extended fine-dining dinner. A new chef has worked wonders and produced a top quality menu which delivers 100%. We visited for a Valentine special - Nice ambiance, professional staff - would highly recommend this Gastro-Pub experience

Formerly known as trader Arms, this old pub has recently re-opened following refurbishment. First class real ales and good food at reasonable prices. We have eaten there three times during March/April 2012. The new management are to be congratulated.

trader looks like a pub, feels like a pub but the food is more resturant quality - simply amazing. Its strange to find somewhere producing such good food outside Bristol. The staff are welcoming, friendly and polite. The menu is not large as everything is fresh and we were told changes on a regular basis. You get a choice of 4 starters, 4 mains and 4 puddings so there is a risk you might not find something you like. However I had no problems. My wife who is a veggie but usually expects limited choice. There was only one veggie option on starter and main but it was lovely and special (not out of a box like some many other places). We've been there a couple of times - mid week and on Sunday. If dining on a Friday or Saturday it could be expensive but we took up the two courses for £20 offered in the week. Enjoy.

My first visit to this venue and cannot recommend them highly enough. Excellent atmosphere as soon as you walk into the place. Food was outstanding and very clean plates went back to the kitchen! Service was very good, not rushed and served with a smile. Wine choice was also excellent.

trader pub in Blagdon is a lovely traditional pub serving some typical pub grub. They have a good menu which is on a board as you enter, enough but not too much. The price of a typical meal was around £8-10 but even a steak was good value at £12. The landlord was friendly and service was very good. The food was lovely, a hearty portion and you had a choice of salad or veg. Which every one you decided on, it was great as very different to normal. The salad is in fact several small different salads - great to see some vision and not just plain lettuce and tomato. I was driving so couldn't taste the beers - I think it was Butcombe and Doom Bar on tap. Will be back. Two main course choices for veggies - pasta and a cranberry and chestnit wellington. Looking forward to the return visit.

I am a regular visitor to this pub and always find the main staff to be typically pub like in their friendliness. A good place to be a regular!

This place wins points for it's quirky, friendly feel, and is great on summer evenings with it's outdoor bar and seating. Also has several BBQs for customers to bring along and cook their own food!

A lovely traditional coaching inn located in beautiful scenery and perfect for walkers, especially if you have a dog in tow. Lots of great walks nearby, including the South West Coastal Path and Exmoor National Park. The rooms are comfy, and during our three-night stay, we ate in the pub restaurant every night - the food was delicious. There is a great beer garden outside too. Would definitely recommend to dog owners - you would look out of place if you don't have a four-legged friend with you.
