My wife and I have eaten here on a number of occasions and the food is reasonably priced and always of a very high quality. The staff are also very courteous and attentive. You may need to book in advance, especially later in the week and at week-ends. Our only less than excellent visit was one Friday when service was a little slow, but the food was still excellent once it arrived.

If you are looking for a traditional local pub that concentrates on Beer not food then I can recommend the Warncliffe. We have used this pub for several years and find its a real pub for real people, but in spite of this its not a spit and sawdust style pub. You can relax and enjoy a chat in comfort.

I have been using this restaurant for years, both for family events and meals for two. The restaurant is off the beaten track on a hill overlooking the colne valley with marvellous views. Most of the food is prepared on the premises and is well cooked and served by friendly staff. There is a wide range of Sunday lunch dishes as well as the normal a la carte menu. I make a point of phoning on the day to book a table because the restaurant does get busy at times, although food is also served in the bar.

I have eaten here several times recently with my husband and children. The menu is varied & extensive the portion sizes are more than ample and everything is very reasonably priced. Most importantly though, the food is delicious. The pub itself has beautiful views, traditional cosy surroundings, clean facilities and helpful friendly staff. The only downside is that it gets extremely busy at weekends so It's probably best to book in advance. I will definately be returning!

Amazing range of beers, especially ales, beautifully restored space where you can admire the high ceilings and gaze over the comings and goings of the station.

trader consists of two rooms. One is large and holds the bar, the other is smaller and partitioned off. To the side of the bar there is a big, welcoming fire. The food is mostly pub staples, listed on large blackboards and usually tasty and good value. The bar stocks the wonderful 'Bitburger Drive' LA beer - worth a trip in itself! The staff always seem cheery. It's popular with walkers padding along the Monsal Trail and Longstone Edge. The village too is attractive with some small shops, a cross, hall and church.
