trader is a real gem of a place. Fantastic food (best in West Hampstead in my opinion), great selection of beer, guinness and ales. Decent wine list too. The landlord Michael and his team go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Good pub quiz on a thursday, gets busy so come early. Yummy Sunday roast, plus kid-friendly. Highly recommend a visit.

Been here a number of times and they have never disappointed. Smart gastropub interior. Food is good, hearty, and well presented although prices are above average but you get what you pay for. Staff are attentive and good at catering for small children.

Three sisters and husbands, wanting to meet up for a pre-Christmas lunch. Wanted nice ambience, without hustle - wanted to share photos and chat about lives for the last three months and general catching up about families and our lives! We had a wide choice of food on the menu, which was hot and tasty. Drinks were topped up on request - without pestering. If you want to spend quality time without too much expense we would all recommend this central Hertfordshire venue. (parking for 19 cars helped)

A nice pub restaurant at the confluence of the canal, river and two lakes. Above average food selection for this kind of eatery and a great location. Small selection of real ales on tap including guest ales.
