Armistead's carried out a garage conversion for me. A site visit was made and a detailed quotation followed shortly. The quotation was not the cheapest I had, but Armistead's were able to start the work sooner than anyone else. The team who did the work were friendly, skilled and hardworking. The work was completed within the time estimated before the start and everything was done to a high standard.

Good reliable service on Gas fire and completed a repair to a toilet cistern. Clean tidy worker, friendly and efficient and does not charge the earth. Competitive prices.

We needed our combi boiler moving and servicing, some pipework altering and a new stop tap. Steve came out to survey the job and quoted within 48 hrs. The engineers who came out to do the work (Richard & Dan) were on time, very skilled and friendly. They were not the cheapest quote (also not the dearest) but certainly the most professional and good value.

Came to repair a non-flushing WC but also fixed seized tap; no call out fee, very reasonable hourly charge. Very friendly and personable, and knew what he was doing. Highly recommended for small jobs.

Salt's have fitted an air source central heating system for me, excellent service and very friendly. Reviews of how the system is working have occurred and minor adjustments made, all without being asked. Totally trustworthy and very effective and efficient.

The service i received was excellent & fast. I rang him up, told him my problem, within a hour & half the job was fixed. He and the plumber that did the job, were both very pleasant & helpful. All this completed at a very reasonable price. Cheers guys.

From the outset this company's attitude filled me with confidence and it was obvious that they were completely professional and efficient. trader himself conducted the site visit in order to prepare the quote and was full of good advice about how to proceed. The detailed quote was prepared within 36 hours of the site visit. I would definitely recommend this company for anybody in search of a quality building service.

I have been looking for a good plumber in the Lake District for some time and found this company on the 'which' local website. John and Richard were both polite and friendly. Richard arrived exactly when John said he would and finished the job quickly and efficiently. I found the cost of the work to be very reasonable and will certainly be using them again.

I phoned this company when the toilet in our flat in Bowness on Windermere stopped flushing. Richard came round quite quickly, identified the cause and effected a temporary repair as a specialist part was needed. He ordered a new part and came back to fit it when it arrived. He sent the bill later, so no worry about getting cash for emergency plumber. Very friendly and professional.

He came to investigate an immersion heater failure. Found it had tripped out and he reset it internally. Said he would replace the unit if it tripped out continually. Hasn't done so. He hasn't charged for the visit, yet :-). Useful to find someone who can do both the electrical and plumbing work. Recommended unreservedly.
