Picture framing in the UK

We needed a picture framing but the framing firm we had used had gone into liquidation, but the web site for it did refer us to Mr.Sutherland. After contacting him we realised that he had worked for the firm and prior to that had his own business in Lincoln and in fact we had used his services several times. The item he framed was a cross stitch picture. He advised us on mounts and frames and did a really good job at a very reasonable price. He will certainly get our business again

Just had a print framed here at trader . Great range of frames and mountboards in stock, proprietor Jim Thompson very knowledgeable and gave good advice. Very pleased with service, the high quality of framing,and the finished product. First time I have used this trader but will definitely use again.

I had struggled to find a decent shirt framers for a fair price and stumbled across these local guys. I used them to frame a premiership football shirt and it was done to a very high standard. Professional guys that seem to frame all sorts of items from shirts to even F1 parts! I would highly recommend them.

We recently used trader for major renovations to both our bathrooms. The prices we paid were very reasonable. The project involved plumbing, tiling and floor laying. All of the different stages of the project were well managed by Phil, who was always really helpful and kept us informed of what was happening. We would readily use him again and have no hesitation in recommending him as a good tradesman charging fair prices for the work.'

I have used trader a couple of times now, since my previous framer stopped trading. I think the service is the best in the area, and above all the woman that runs it is helpful and knowledgeable, both about framing but also about the pictures themselves. Their choice of frames is far larger than anywhere else in the area. Prices are competitive but not cheap.

Superb quality picture framing, using conservation grade materials. Authoritative and creative advice about how to get the best from your art is invaluable. Lots of top-quality, local and affordable art is available, including commissions for Danny Coope's Blue Plaques, celebrating the history of ordinary people. Perhaps a little pricier than other framers, but absolutely outstanding work, so still excellent value.

We had a very large poster of the Grand Canyon and other prints to be framed. Framewerks in Colchester were the only people that came up with a solution to our 1900cm X 66cm poster.

Excellent service from a relatively new company. Friendly and knowledgeable attitude made frame buying an unusual pleasure. Good ready-to-hand display of options within a dedicated consultation area. Final price for 3 items was significantly lower than anticipated and well below a similar company used previously in the centre of Lincoln.
