I found Norman Mackenzie of Sonas on Which? Local and called him up for a very small job - a jammed water tap. He was quite prepared to instruct me what to do myself but I actually decided to get him to do it. What a pleasant experience! He turned up on time, did the job well and did not charge a fortune. When we replace our bathroom he will be the person we call. One other thing caught my attention. Both the previous reviews referred to him as 'Norman' and I think that speaks for the warm, confidence-building relationship he creates. No wonder his order book is full and is mainly from customer recommendations.

Paul is a great joiner and a really nice guy. He was sub-contracted to work on a new bathroom we were having installed and following on from that we have used him to replace all the internal doors in the house. He has proved to be hard-working and conscientious, does a great job and keeps things clean as he goes along. His prices are very reasonable and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

trader supplied and fitted a new bathroom. From start to finish we couldn't have asked for a better service. The showroom staff were very helpful and helped us understand the various options available using the extensive range of bathrooms and fittings on display. The designer was friendly and proactive but not pushy and really seemed to be trying to help us decide what was best for us. All the materials were delivered in good time by couple friendly and helpful storemen and stacked neatly in the garage. The tradesmen who carried out the installation were organised and did a first class job. They ensured there was the minimum of inconvenience (pardon the pun - we only have the one toilet!) and kept everything clean and tidy as the installation progressed. They were pleasant and helpful. All the material that was removed from the old bathroom was taken away promptly. We really couldn't have asked for a better service.

Excellent tradesman. Did all plumbing, tiling and joinery single-handed, to a very high standard. Hard-working and reliable. Charges very fair.

This was the first time I've used 'Which Local' but it won't be the last. I had a problem with a leaking overflow pipe on our bath. Norman arrived just when he said he would, was polite, extremely efficient and very good value. Next time I need a plumber he'll be the first person I call.

This kitchen fitter came to me highly recommended. I found him very caring in making sure that he got the design details right and was able to advise me on particular materials / products that he felt would be right for me. An absolute bonus that he would not take any money up front and wanted to finish the job to a high standard before putting in his bill. He can be flexible and was happy for my brother to do the electrical work. I'm thoroughly happy with my new finished kitchen!

After seeing the refurbished bathroom next door, I had Norman build and install two bedroom shower rooms. He planned, purchased the materials, built and installed everything, including tiling. A one man complete package. Norman has also done some general repairs and installs throughout the house. My praise for Norman could not be high enough.

Very efficient supply and installation - all trades included. All kitchen floor and wall units,sink, worktops,extractor hood fan and duct to external air,downlighers to illuminate worktop, splashback wall tiles, dishwasher, washing machine, flush electric cooker hob,electric oven,matching floor to ceiling pantry doors to existing twin pantries,laminate flooring and electric wall sockets.Total cost 9K.

Just had a new kitchen put in by Graeme. Cant fault him - workmanship, communication and organisation was excellent. He arranged tradespeople for additional work needed. All delivered to a tight budget. Works in Elgin and surrounding areas (we are in Aberdeen). Comes highly recommended.

After much deliberation with many kitchen companies we decided to ask trader to fit our new kitchen. This was last year. Price wise they were competitive in the luxury kitchen markey i.e. Ashley Ann and Kitchens International. But we were delighted we went for Deeside. They agreed a date and carried out the work very professionally. My kitchen still looks great and isa lot more stylish than the options from the other companies. People still say wow when they come to my house. I had a problem with one of my drawers about 9 months after they fitted it and they came out and fixed it no problem and no extra cost. Worth every penny...
