I bought a heat/light 250w bulb (Compton) to replace the one in our bathroom (the old Philips bulb finally failing after only 26 years!). On taking the new bulb home and trying to fit it in the bayonet socket one of the fixing pins on the bulb base broke off (poor weld?) so I rang the store to complain. I was asked to return the faulty bulb ASAP for a refund or replacement. I returned a couple of days later and got alternative goods to the same value, although I was offered a refund if I wished.

They are friendly and helpful, giving advice on repair if possible rather than replacing with new. They stock all sorts, selling in small quantities if required and also sell good quality perennials and shrubs, compost etc.

Follow up Review: They are a small 2nd/3rd generation family business. They are friendly and very helpful. The head of the business is very knowlegable not only with regard to the tools and equipment that they supply but the work that you intend to use them for. He is always able to offer good sound advice on how to tackle any DIY job and to recommend the best products and tools for the task.
