This is one of those shops that has almost anything you want and the owner knows which shelf, box it is in...Excellent - lets hope this type of shop never goes away - the big DIY stores can not compete against local brill service - wot he doesn't he'll get for you.

Shop selling tools - this shop has most items in the Draper catalogue in stock. I needed a tap reseating tool to fix a dripping tap and Bingo! Really good service.

Follwo up review: They continue to always be helpful, cheerful and a mine of information for plumbing, painting, etc. Very keen prices and nothing is to much trouble.

They are friendly and helpful, giving advice on repair if possible rather than replacing with new. They stock all sorts, selling in small quantities if required and also sell good quality perennials and shrubs, compost etc.

Thanks again to Which? Local. My wide plastic snowshovel split on me whilst clearing my drive after the recent heavy snow and I needed a replacement. I looked on the site; read the two existing reviews; looked at the map and wondered why I could not remember the shop. I rang to check if they had the shovels and, when I got there, I realised I must have driven past it a hundred times over the years. It is in a prominent corner position on the junction of Oxbarn Avenue and Trysull Road. It is very deceptive from the front because it is huge inside - a real Aladdin's cave. I bought my snowshovel (sensibly displayed outside the shop) and also bought a new household hammer and torch, from a good selection of both (including price) to choose from. There is an enormouse stock of goods here. Thanks again to Which? Local (and the two previous reviewers) for directing me to a shop which I should have known about before.

Good old fashioned hardware shop where the product range is enormous and it is still possible to buy a single screw.
