First class local village store. Opens early, stocks all the main newspapers and magazines, including the widest range of local papers covering the west of Scotland. All the usual groceries, dairy, frozen and household goods. Highlights are very good morning rolls (Morton's), local meat (Linburn), licensed, lottery, even does a dry-cleaning drop-off/pick-up service in conjunction with Munro laundry. Ask for anything and you get a helpful response. You could almost survive on this shop alone if you never wanted to visited another supermarket!

The newsagent gives a good service with good over all range of products. The owner is 64, committed nature lover and stocks an extremely good range of bird food at fair prices - important to me.

I agree wholeheartedly with the comment by Chris Grange. Friendly and reliable and my papers are delivered by 7.30am plus very handy for small grocery items. (By the way, they stock proper Scottish breakfast rolls which I cannot find in local supermarkets - fresh daily!)

I use this shop a lot due to its good value on a wide variety of goods, and for the really friendly and helpful service. If any item is out of stock or if something is not quite what you need, just ask for what you want to be included in the next stock purchase. I've found great household items, stationery and toys here that cost far more in high street chains.
