I just had to give an updated review to fellow members of MacColl Landscapes as most of his reviews are elsewhere on the web. Over the past two weeks, Scott MacColl and his men did a great job of removing a failing, ugly back garden wall, laying new foundations, building new walls, connecting an existing drainage pipe to a new feed pipe, which feeds into a silt trap with removable cover and connecting into the main drainage pipe. They cleared away a large pile of debris, levelled off the ground and laid membrane ready for me to put down gravel later. They didn't try to hurry the job (I liked to see spirit levels being constantly used) and were particular in getting things just right. The men were also very punctual. I liked Scott and his company so much, I have just today (4 May 2013) asked him to provide ideas and quote for more work in my front garden.

I found Eric honest, reliable and hard-working. He did an excellent job rebuilding a path in the back and front gardens. I would gladly recommend him.

This firm made an excellent job of relying my driveway with modern paving blocks. I aslo feel assured that it is built to last. They were extremely attentive, did the job quickly and with attention to detail second to none. I was kept conpletely informed of what was happening and they cleared everything away to perfection. We are delighted with the result.

We hired John to carry out a number of jobs in our garden, including building new walls, laying new patio areas and replacing and adding slabbing to our exisiting garden areas. Firstly we want to say that we are thoroughly delighted with the excellent job that John has done for us. Our garden looks great and everyone we know who has seen it is very impressed. John is a very likeable, honest, hard working and down to earth man. Throughout the job he gave us ideas and different options to consider when we were struggling for inspiration. We received many quotes for the job before choosing John whose price for the job was trully outstanding and we were impressed with the previous comments on Which?Local. John will be our only choice in the future if we decide to do anything to our front garden and will shortly be doing some work for other family members. Well done and thanks again John.

trader transformed our home made garden patio into a true patio, a stone paved, wind sheltered space which invites you to spend time. From the first day when the team arrived on time, fully equipped and with a skip arriving to meet it, the work was completed to an excellent standard. Every day, the garden and driveway were tidied and cleaned. We would certainly use the company again.

Andrew Liu the founder of trader is a young man who used to work in a garden centre and decided to branch out on his own last year. Considering the economic climate this was a brave decision, Andrew canvassed the local area to see if anyone wanted their grass cutting, weeding and maintenace done. As my husband was terminally ill at the time this service was just what I needed. My grass is cut fortnightly the edges are always trimmed and all weeding of borders is done, weedkiller is also put down on the patio and stone areas all for £22 a fortnight though he does other packages that are a bit cheaper. Andrew and his guys are reliable, tidy (always clean up the grass shavings when they are done) professional and very friendly. Since last year his business has grown despite not doing any marketing which proves word of mouth is often the best recommendation. I certainly would recommend his business to anyone looking for a good job done at reasonable prices.
