Food and Drink - Excellent little restaurant inside the garden centre, webt on a lunchtime visit had spicey beans in a baked tortilla bowl (£7.25), beef sandwich (£4.95) and two mugs of coffee (£1.50 each), quick service, excellent food - good value for money

A long established family business who began as growers, a large proportion of their plants are still home grown, but the business has expanded its range. I have used this nursery for many years and find it is far and away the best value in the area, particularly for bedding plants, perennials and roses. I would describe it as a no-frills nursery and not a typical modern garden centre.

This small, family-run garden centre has particularly attractive stock at reasonable prices and offers friendly and helpful service. It is always a pleasure to visit.

The proprietors and staff are most helpful e.g. in terms of their knowledge and advice they are prepared to share on request; have a good range of quality goods at a reasonable price; will deliver locally for a small fee; are firendly and treat us as valued customers.

Best place for buying mature trees and shrubs of named varieties, i.e. when you know exactly what you are loking for. They sell many varieties at a range of sizes so you can choose to suit your budget (and your level of patience!). Many items are grown in extensive fields on the premises, and therefore are totally acclimatised to Cheshire conditions. For large or specific orders, if you use the excellent online catalogue you can select in advance and plants are dug up to be waiting for you. They will also deliver if required.

Have been using this small family run nursery since it opened in 1996. Stephen & wife Kim Rogers have steadily developed their operation & now have daughter Katie working with them. They propogate & grow most of their own plants which are well presented. Adjacent to the plant stock area is a wonderfull garden that displays many of their stock plants. That in itself is worth a visit. Nothing fancy here - it is a nursery not a garden centre. However they had to succomb to being in the 21st century a few years ago by adding on toilet facilities & even a coffee dispensing machine. Excellent range at reasonable prices.
