WE use them regularly and find their service is first class and their range of products is excellent. In addition our regular village coffee morning (Dalton) uses them on a fortnightly basis for their meetings. Very good

I have bought plug plants of very good quality at very good prices. They have a wide selection of these and sell mature plants as well...a nursery rather than a garden centre.

Good range of plants stocked, well cared for, staff around to advise, consult. Good range of accessories. Always the place to go if you care about the plants you are buying

This garden centre is not the cheapest, but plants are well established and I have never had a problem with anything I have bought from Wentworth. The staff are knowledgeable, corteous and helpful, set in lovely surroundings with a good cafe and lots to see.

A very extensive range of plants, garden sundries and products with expert staff available to give helpful advice. James and his friendly team provide excellent high quality freshly prepared light bites, snacks and cakes in the Oasis Cafe. We go to the cafe at least once a week. There is also a very large pet shop on site. A loyalty card is available where you can earn points every time you shop at the garden centre. Plenty of good parking is available on site.

Started many years ago with market stall selling fruit & veg (famous mucky carrots). Two sons diversified into plants and is now flourishing business with many people like ourselves returning year after year. No gimmicks or fancy goods just really good plants at reasonable prices. (Less than deans who you rated at Fourth in country)

Rita & Peter Dunstan run this operation which is very well established, probably been going for over 30 years during which I have been a regular. Seem to be now using a newer name " trader " perhaps to cover the widening range of goods on offer. Good range of plants at reasonable prices & an even wider range of trees & shrubs

Following the report in the latest Which? Magazine about garden centres I note that Deans of Scarborough are recommended. From my experience they are OK but not that good. I can however recommend trader Garden Centre located on the banks of the River Esk at Lealholme. This is a small, privately owned business but the quality of the plants and service are excellent. They also have the advantage of being located in the pretty village of Lealholme which has the usual gift shops, pubs cafes etc. You can spend a very relaxing few hours there.

Huge nursery, many/most perenials are 50p. Massive variety of plants (annuals/bedding plants/perenials/shrubs/climbers). Lovely for a day trip out also to combine with Filey. Staff are knowledable whenever I've asked questions, but if you are looking for a specific plant, it can be tricky to locate because it is such a huge place and they don't personally walk with you to show you where it is. They don't help you to your car with your goods or help you load your car up (which the small garden centre in my village will). The value for money is exceptional.

It is always a pleasure to view the shop and centre contents and to visit the delightful, light and airy restaurant for lunch. The food is unpretentious, homely and excellent value. The shopping till is operated by Joyce who without fail gives a warm welcome to all customers and "has time for a chat and a laugh". The range of flowers, fruit, vegetable, jams and goodies are top quality and different with prominence given to Yorkshire produce. A regular Sunday lunch spot for me.
