Kevin is a great example of good old customer service. We wanted our old open fireplace and hood removed, new brickwork and a new hearth laid and a log burning stove installed. He discussed our requirements and carried out a careful survey. He provided a quotation on the spot and made it clear exactly what was covered. He also indicated that it represented what he thought would be the maximum amount, but that when the old fireplace was removed it might be that the final bill would be less because some of the old materials could be re-used. The work was carried out within the timescales given and to a high standard. Both Kevin and his assistant Simon took care to ensure that as little mess as possible was made. Kevin also went beyond the normal bounds of a job of this sort by searching ebay for just the sort of reclaimed quarry tiles we were looking for. He also, whilst installing the flue, cleared a lot of growth from our chimney stack and re-cemented the crown of the chimney. We are absolutely delighted with the work carried out and the final result. The icing on the cake was when the final bill was over £200 less than the quote.

Jarrod swept our chimney last autumn (2014) and while we were chatting he mentioned that he also fitted stoves. (Incidentally, he's the first sweep I've ever come across that issues a certificate after checking the integrity of the flue with a smoke bomb). His quotation was very reasonable so we decided to proceed. The work consisted of: * Opening out the existing fireplace & fitting a lintel. * Plastering and rendering the exposed brickwork. * Fitting a new hearth. * Testing the flue (to see if we needed a liner). * Fitting and commissioning the new stove (for which he negotiated a 10% discount). * Fitting a decorative floating oak beam where the lintel was positioned. The work was carried out to an excellent standard, within 3 weeks of placing the order. With such a job you have to expect a lot of soot & dust, but we prepared the room with that in mind, and Jarrod was very careful to keep the mess to an acceptable minimum. Jarrod is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He clearly takes great pride in his work which is always a good sign. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending him to any of my friends - in fact I already have.

I found it difficult to visualise a new fire from one manufacturer in a fireplace from a different manufacturer. This firm had images of previous installations and I went ahead. The salesroom staff through to the installer were thoroughly professional and the finished product is fabulous

Have recently had a new Woodwarm Firewren stove installed by GTFire. The stove was professionally installed with the minimum of inconvenience and mess. Not the weather to test the stove to its full capabilities but we have every confidence that it will prove to be up to our expectations. GTFire are also HETAS Ltd.registered.

We have just had our old fireplace taken out and new fireplace and fire installed. The standard of workmanship was excellent. They have had to re-plaster part of the wall, put in new skirting and coving and the finished product is seamless. Very reliable and kept us informed at all times. There was a very minor fault on the fire but this was rectified very quickly. I would definitely recommend this company. When we went to the showroom they were very helpful but there was no pressure to buy.

'I can't recommend Roger and his team highly enough. Great workmanship, very reliable and turned up on time, easy to communicate with and answers his mobile. Cleared up well and always cheerful and helpful. This is a company who get service completely right and go the extra mile. I thought the cost was very reasonable and was lower and easier to get than other quotes'

We had a small log burner fitted, the fireplace altered and a chimney liner fitted. The work and approach was professional, prompt and efficient with excellent customer care and communication. I especially appreciated Kevin's advice which he kindly gave when we were choosing the stove before ordering it online. I would not hesitate to recommend their services. We are so pleased with the final result.

I initially used this company in March 2013. They changed a malfunctioning TRV on a radiator in less than 1hr, and I thought it was very good value. More recently, we had a few niggling problems in our house which required a plumber to sort out, contacted this company early July 2013 heard nothing until late August 2013 when they made an appointment for early September, the plumbers never appeared and we have heard nothing from them since so will not use again

Graham assessed the job and gave an estimate which he stuck to. He recommended a brilliant stove, rebuilt an old chimney, installed the stove and left everywhere clean and tidy. He did the work on the promised date.

Our 10 yr. old oiled fired boiler packed up in the recent coldsnap (Jan 2013). Eventually using Which? Local we contacted trader who had the boiler running in 24hrs and fully repaired within 36hrs. Three other companies had been out and said it couldn't be repaired as the parts were no longer available from the manufacturer, (they wished to replace the boiler but were uncertain how quickly it could be done). Given the freezing cold weather we are very impressed with this companies technical ability, experience and confidence when it comes to oil fired systems, they prefer to repair boilers rather than replace. Their attitude to customers is great so 5 stars isn't really rating them highly enough

We used this company for a door repair on an old, but still reliable, Villager glass fronted woodburner. Although this model has been defunct for a long while Mr Davidson had no problem in getting the required bits and pieces and making it almost as good as new. Hence we can now use the stove again without fear of the glass dropping out as one of the glass holding rivets had sheared through
