Mr McIntosh was able to replace a central heating control unit at short notice in mid-April. On the day he kept us informed as he was running a wee bit late. The work was carried out professionally and at a reasonable cost. I wouldn't hesitate to use his company again nor recommend his services.

We have not had access to good electrician's services for many years now and moving house has made finding help that little bit more challenging. Jim is star in every way! He responded quickly, arrived on time, discussed the work I wanted done - mainly checking out extremely 'iffy' electrical work acquired with the house. By the end of his first visit, he had down an inspection of the problem areas and made them safe. We booked visit for a new cooked to be hard wired, plus addition sockets and switches in the kitchen. Jim worked hard that day and everything was set for the plumbing in and final wiring of the cooker that took place this morning. An excellent experience all round and extremely good value too. Jim is a fully qualified electrician and and inspector for the NIC so I know his work has been carried out the very highest standards. I recommend JIm unreservedly

Follow up review: Jim came again in 2013 and fitted sealed bathroom ceiling lights. Excellent job and good advice on best lights for hall. Again went out of his way to make sure I got the type of lighting I wanted

I needed some external lighting relocated. I called R.B. Grant really by mistake as I read the wrong phone number but very pleased with the work, time and efficiency of the two electricians who came. The Invoice was detailed when it came and a lot cheaper than the estimated cost as they didn't need to do as much as they thought. Result and will use this company again without any hesitation.

Picked AEF via Which Local and was not disappointed. Had several fuseboxes consolidated into one with full RCB capability. Also had some external wiring provided for a summerhouse. Dave was punctual and the quote process was painless. The fusebox work was complex but Dave offered up 2 alternative solutions and explained the difference in simple layman's terms. The overall price was within the range I'd anticipated. The external work was governed to some extent by the weather and again Dave and his colleague proved flexible to get the job done within my timescales. I have no hesitation in recommending AEF and will certainly turn to them again ass and when the need arises.

Quality tradesman who is reliable and value for money in my opinion.The first time we used the company they installed lights in the garden attached to a couple of movement sensors. We've subsequently used them on several following occasions to; fit an electric shower, fit an extractor fan in a bathroom and one in the kitchen and instal an external electricity power supply socket.
