Draught proofing in the UK

Wonderful - asked Michael to repair a leaking window in Angel (a couple of years ago - just haven't gotten around to putting up this review...) and he was prompt, friendly and gave great advice at a very reasonable price. Fully recommend him !

Martin replaced several windows, some double-glazed, draught-proofed windows, and replaced a door. Echoing the other reviews, the work is of a very good quality and looks very nice. He was reliable, and the quote was a good price and good value for money. I would highly recommend him for similar work, and if/when we need future work on windows will certainly call him again.

We live in a flat in an old Edwardian house in Muswell Hill and our windows are old and ill-fitting. Mr Rudge has fitted draught proofing and secondary glazing which has virtually eliminated draughts. He and his helpers (family-members) took every possible precaution to protect furniture and fabrics and re-fitted our blinds and curtains after they had finished. Their advice was clear, saved us money and they obviously put great emphasis on service. I would highly recommend them.

Efficiently repaired daughter's large heavy Victorian upstairs bay window sash window which could not be closed. Friendly courteous skilled punctual tidy service from two tradesman, at a very reasonable price.

I can only agree with the reviews below. Marcin (carpenter & fitter) and assistant Ralph (decorator) are a good team and well in demand. Quoted one of the cheapest prices to build, fit & draft proof 11 sash double glazed windows including replacement dble glazed windows for french doors. Very good workmanship and the windows look great. 30-40% reduction in noise. They clean up at the end of every day. Know it's obvious but do make sure you agree a works list and review realistic daily a work plan. Some little things do get missed. But overall fantastic.

Michael renovated the 12 windows of our flat over the summer. 9 of these were sash windows, mostly period, and one in very poor condition. Michael restored all of these to perfect working order, and fitted draught-proofing to all. His work is of a very high quality and he pato individual requirements. Now that it is winter it is clear that the insulation works very well.

I used the Ewell Window Company to replace a back door and the price was so reasonable they also fitted a new front door. Their service is wonderful.

Have used this firm several times over the last year to replace window panes and install a large mirror. They have always arrived on time, been helpful and courteous and done a very good job - couldn't have asked for more.

Michael effectively insulated and mended a large sash window, situation next ot my desk, that had previously been very draughty. He carried out the work within the time he stipulated and for the price he quoted. I have since employed him on various other window related work. He is entirely trustworthy and his work is excellent.

Martin and his colleague were a pleasure to know. Totally professional, they did everything he promised - and more -in a methodical way, restoring our rattling old frames, painting and draft-proofing them, and installing smart new fittings, including security locks. Martin even found a solution to our drafty front door and took great trouble to get the job right. They were meticulously clean and tidy and caused minimum disturbance. What Martin charges is good value for money and we would recommend him to anyone.
