Double glazing near Herne Bay, Kent

We had two exterior doors replaced. One an outward opening (and rotting) wooden door to the side of an integral garage - replaced by an upvc equivalent. The other, our uvpc front door (leaking in the rain and with the upvc 'crazing') - replaced by a composite equivalent. The ordering process was so different from our previous encounters with 'double-glazing' salesmen. No spieling rubbish about 'deals' or phone calls back to some alleged 'manager' for a special discount or similar rambling 'theatricals'. It was a revelation of how business should be conducted. So no high pressure sales, indeed no deposit or any payment in advance requested. No immediate date was set for installation, merely an assurance that we would hear from them by the end of the month. On the subsequently arranged day, two fitters appeared (an hour early) and set about the side door. This went without problem. However, matters did not run so smoothly with the front door and at mid-day the fitter told me that there was a problem with the latch that he was unable to fix and that he had left a message for the suppliers' locksmith. So, come 4.50 pm and with a closable but not lockable front door in place, I rang trader . The office staff were unaware of my situation but reassured me that they would sort it out. After several more calls to and fro-ing about, the locksmith appeared a little after 8.00 pm. He was absolutely excellent.He Identified the problem, (the lock's 'handedness' had been set incorrectly for the side the door was hung, resulting in damage when someone tried to close it perhaps forcefully). He removed the offending part and replaced it with another. He then refused a tip saying that I had paid for and was entitled to expect a new door in working order on the day. The net result is that we now have two new doors with which we are very pleased indeed. In spite of the 'hiccup' (indeed partly because of the way it was dealt with), I have no hesitation in recommending this firm and it is now my first choice for work of this type.

We have just had all our old soffits, fascias and guttering replaced by KSE and they have done an excellent job for a very competitive price. They had to remove some very old wooden fascias and soffits and did so cleanly and efficiently. They were pleasant and easy to deal with and we have no hesitation in recommending them.

We had to break a small glass door panel after accidentally activating the deadlock. (Outer porch door had previously been bolted). Rang Bell Glass and Kieren arrived very soon after our phone call. He did the job and cleaned up very well. Pleasant person to deal with and very informative as to the law on glass in doors!.. No hesitation in recommending the company.

This year trader have fitted a replacement door, repaired a double glazed window and built a conservatory for me. Each time they have given me good advice, carried out the work efficiently, tidied up and left me with a pleasing home improvement. All at competitive prices.

Professional company . They discussed all aspects of our conservatory build prior to starting. Once the build commenced, their tradesmen were hard working and polite and did a good job - quickly and with the minimum of fuss. We had a slight hitch with the underfloor heating and this was remedied swiftly and efficiently.

Initial visit to prepare quotation arrived on time. Very knowledgeable. Quotation arrived by email that evening, very competitive. Return visit for more comprehensive measure up again arrived on time. Stated approx 6 weeks quoted for installation date which they kept to Strictly a Family Business. Installation of 6 windows carried out in 2 days, no mess no fuss, dust sheets etc. Highly Recommend.

A complete set of new windows, french doors and back door. Very high standard of workmanship, although a little careless with debris and litter. There was a mistake in the order for one window but quickly sorted out within the stated timespan.

Father and son business recommended to me by my builder. No messing around with glazing company reps. They measured up for my new conservatory and sent me a computerised graphic of what it would look like with the various options on the size of the windows etc. They could not be beaten on price and started and completed the job on schedule. They warned me that the doors would need some adjustment after hot weather and when I contacted them they were round within 48hours to make the adjustments. Really pleased with their work and service. You will not meet two nicer people. Late submission as I am away for most of the summer.
