Our son has been at the pre-school at Bright Futures since September 2013. We have been very impressed with the quality of the staff and the childcare/education he is receiving. It is an open plan design (apart from the baby room) and the nursery manager is always visible, interacting with the children and helping out. It is a social enterprise rather than a profit making business, charges lower rates than most other nurseries we have seen and is open for longer hours. We always get a full report of what our son has been doing, which includes activities such as cooking, gardening, using the interactive whiteboard and computers, learning about other cultures etc. There are always new pieces of equipment appearing, and regular opportunities to give feedback. Our daughter has now started in the baby room and we would have no hesitation in recommending the nursery to others, as it is excellent.

We've joined which.local specifically to recommend Barbora (aka trader ). Having used a local nursery and another childminder we have found Barbora to be the best by far. She is now looking after our second child as well. The children are so happy when they come home, they always make at least one thing (usually more) and have been out on a trip or walk of some kind (local parks/ gardens and adventure playgrounds especially), and have eaten well. Barbora produces a daily written report, so we know exactly what they have done - she also teaches them basic reading, writing & numeracy skills and we see the good results of this in the exercise sheets they bring home. She charges by the nearest quarter of an hour, in arrears and is extremely flexible and has been available in case of emergencies/ last minute changes of plan too. As you can tell, basically we just couldn't ask for more from a childcarer - she is just brilliant!

We sent our son to Aunt Mary's from January because he was keen to have other children to play with. They have been fantastic with him. It initially took him a while to settle, as it was the first time he had been away from me, but they were very experienced, patient and sensitive. He had trouble toilet training and he was dry at Aunt Mary's really quickly. They are also located in Healey Dell Nature Reserve, so it is a peaceful environment with great walks at their doorstep, which he really enjoyed. I would have no hesitation recommending them.

This is our cafe of choice to visit for refreshments when shopping in town. The service is efficient and friendly and stands out in comparison to all the other store-based cafes we've used (including other branches of M&S).

My daughter has been attending this Kindergarten for one year now, and is really settled there. The staff are great and they are really helping with my child's development.

My son has attended the Worsley branch of this nursery for a year now and we have been very happy with the childcare they offer. The staff are more 'with it' than we have seen in some nurseries, they genuinely seem to care about the children and can always give us a full update on our son's day. They spend a lot of time playing outdoors, they cook all the food on site and there are varied activities for the children. It is not cheap, £42 per day as at March 2012, hence the 4 star value rating, but to a large extent we think you get what you pay for.

A truly outstanding nursery - also as judged by Ofsted (Aug 2011) where it got the top rating in all categories. I have put both my boys here from 7months, so continual use for the last 7 years - & can't fault it. The staff are great, facilities are great & both boys absolutely loved it.

This Nursery has provided my daughter an excellent level of care from five months to starting school at four. I would strongly recommend this provision. As well as the standard activities - including messy play, crafts, baking, they provide Spanish lessons to the pre school age children, and dancing classes for all toddlers and up. They follow the early years foundations and keep excellent records of each child's progress against the criteria, that will continue into reception class when they start school. The building is purpose built, with garden that has been recently improved. The staff are always professional and the children are looked after in a well structured environment and always in a caring way.

My child attended this well-run, well-established nursery for two years. The staff are all dedicated and caring, and have consistently high standards. The nursery had a traditional feel, with frequently changing activities and events for the children to enjoy, and a fantastic new outdoor play area. As soon as I visited Lilliput, I knew it was the right one for us. I was always confident that my child was in good, safe hands.

Both my children have attended the nursery & Hedgehog club that provides care 8am to 6pm, 51 weeks of the year. Excellent staff & facilities. Lots going on & good staff retention. As it is "not for profit" any surplus is reinvested into the Centre.
