A very good cafe with cakes baked on the premises daily. Very friendly staff. A little bit of France in Bristol.

Small & friendly, with delicious specials menu (got to try their Spanish omelette!) good coffee/tea choices and yummy cakes and brownies too. There is a little garden seating area at back of cafe, and a kids toy box too. Now that it's open in the evenings too, with full license, it's a really nice local place to visit with an amazing pizza menu and - sometimes - live music too.

Follwo up review: Already awarded the best farm shop in the country, Farringtons go from strength to strength. They are concious of providing locally sourced food wherever they can and they grow their own organic veg. They produce their own range of chilled and frozen ready meals. The goods are all good quality and well displayed. The cafe is excellent with a good range of food and drink. Some goods are pricey but in the main fair. They have recently added a small garden centre and had the first pick-your-own tulip field in the country. There are animals that children love, like donkeys, pigs, goats, chickens and birds. It's always a pleasure to visit.

If you like quality pizza then this is the place for you. You can get deliveries to your door and the take away food is of the highest standard. Or alternatively the BYO restaurant is based on the Wells road and has a wonderful vibe. trader was named one of the five best budget restaurants for world cuisine in Bristol by the Guardian and I would wholeheartedly agree.

The sign outside says, 'friendly staff' and they certainly are. Lovely homemade quiches and cakes. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate are really good and are served in china cups or mugs. Good value too. Their bacon rolls are extremely good as the bacon is top quality. They do breakfasts now and if there is anything someone wants that they don't have, they pop over the road to an excellent butchers and they cook it. Not the cheapest place perhaps, but I would have to say that it is good value and you can taste the difference.

For a medium size shop, they pack a lot in, with a great deli counter selling a range of cheeses, olives, pates, pasties etc, as well as the raw and cooked meats. They also have an excellent freezer section with individual take-home-and-bake items such as croissants, and various fruit mixtures. Their own-brand mixed-fruit jam is a revelation, and they do chutneys and curds. They also have various gift items including Matthew Rice and Emma Bridgwater items. The cafe is absolutely wonderful, with the most mouth-watering cakes you've ever seen. Their hot lunches are also very good, and their coffee and teas are good, and reasonably priced. Recently a fresh fish stall has been introduced - maybe only certain days, I'm not sure - but it looked excellent. Parking is plentiful and they also sell a few plants and herbs.

Less a farmshop, more a shopping emporium! Huge range of fresh, chilled and frozen produce, at good prices, mainly organic and/or welfare standard. They have an amazing deli section with olives, cheese-stuffed figs, mini samosas, onions pickled in balsamic vinegar to name but a few. The ready meals, available chilled or frozen, look home-made and would grace a dinner party :-) The cafe is wonderful - my daughter and I had bagels with smoked salmon and scrambled egg and it was generous and of beautiful quality, as were the teas and coffees. There are various other shops on site including a very nice gift shop, a fresh fish stall, a beauty salon and a hairdresser and florist.

Laid back vibe in a beautiful area of Bristol, with board games and books available to use. Has an interesting menu serving everything from breakfast to tapas. After having ordered an excellent, light, tasty full english I can't wait to go back to try more of the menu.
