Very friendly tea room situated by the village hall and green beside the car park. Freshly made teas, coffees and delicious sandwiches and more substantial meals at very very reasonable prices. A must for a quick stopover when through this part of Lancashire. Very popular with walkers, cyclists and tourists.

trader is on a main road but is easy to pass as it appears a little unassuming. However,it`s well worth the stop.Essentially it is a `normal ` café during the day (full English, sandwiches, snacks ),which are excellent. But,in the evening (19:00 to 22:00) (Wednesday aside),Cora puts on Philipino meals : soups, appetisers, chicken, beef, pork and seafood.Since discovering trader place,we travel 40 miles` return journey monthly. Our favourites include:chicken soup, tamarind soup ; ribs ; salad ; and squid stuffed with cheese in a rich tomato sauce (may not sound so good but is excellent and a favourite of our 3 young daughters !!).The dishes on the menu are quite extensive PLUS Cora uses only fresh ingredients that she buys herself. As such it may be better to phone in advance to see what she`s planning;alternatively ask if she can prepare something for you, given some days` advance notice.Cora does her own cooking. She is an absolutely wonderful, kind lady and really wants her customers to enjoy every part of her meals.VERY highly recommended,EXCELLENT atmosphere and SUPERB value.

Nice, quiet, attractive cafe situated in Gallery Oldham. Nice coffee and a great selection of savouries and cakes. Cakes are excellent and look like they're made on the premises. Sandwiches and other savouries made to order. Only downside was the service was a little slow, but the staff were very friendly so this didn't matter.

Sidrah specialises in bespoke cakes for any occasion. We had a wonderful victoria sponge cake for a party. Her kitchen is behind her coffee shop which is a favourite for quick lunch bites and lazy coffee breaks with a scrumptious piece of cake! You can see work in progress as you order.

A small cafe situated in the lower car park at Cannon Hall, it has a selection of hot sandwiches and panini and what look like home made cakes (although they are bought in from a home baking supplier), they do a selection of drinks including excellent fresh coffee & fresh de-caf. If you are looking for an alternative to the usual high street coffee shops I have to say this is worth a visit, my wife and I have eaten here twice now about 18 months apart and the ladies who look after you are friendly and the food appears to be cooked to order so no rushing here. Excellent rating from us. CAR PARK FEES APPLY in the 3 local car parks Cannon Hall farm, the Garden Center and this one Cannon Hall Museum.

Great place to enjoy an afternoon tea with homemade cakes, or to eat a light meal before picking up garden supplies at the Dore Moor Garden Centre and Nursery. Can recommend their tuna mayonnaise sandwiches or beef stew in Yorkshire pudding with apple pie for afters. Their oven baked potatoes also looked substantial and very good.
