Contacted Steve after reading the reviews in here, I needed a leaking chimney removing and the resulting hole reslating, he turned up to quote on a bank holiday and gave a Very competative quote, I was quite easy as to when he started and he called the night before to make sure It was convenient to start the work. By lunchtime the chimney stack had gone, and in the afternoon he used reclaimed slate to make good the hole in the roof so you can hardly tell that there was a chimney there in the first place. He took away all the rubble, and swept up after himself. All in all he did a great job - and I can thoroughly recommend him

Used to enlarge an off road parking area and construct a new perimeter wall. The job was undertaken thoroughly and completed promptly to satisfaction. Higly recommended

Malcolm has just completed building a large extension to our house at a total cost over £150k. His work is excellent at a very reasonable cost. As with all jobs there are extras but these were done without ripping you off. He made a number of recommendations about how we could do things better and with a number of these we made a saving. His concern has been that we get a quality job. The job did go over time but this was because he did extra jobs (such as kitchen fitting/sorting us out a new front door/exterior works) but all of these cost us less than had we had others doing it for us. We were very pleased that he won the contract and will use him again for jobs that we need doing.

Contacted Steve who came out promptly to investigate why water was leaking into my cellar. Repaired some external concrete quickly and effectively. Problem solved at reasonable cost. Will definitely use Steve again.

Used this company in October 2012 for insertion of skyight in pitched tiled roof. This small job involved a roofer, joiner and plasterer all arriving at the appropriate time. The job was done well, the men arrived punctually and everyone cleared the mess at the end of the operation. Tonwells didn't provide the cheapest quote but did provide excellent value for money.

I needed two Velux Windows installing in the sloping roof of my house. Paul was the most competitive of the estimates. He came on the days he said he would. The job was well done, and the interior finish good. He was careful, considerate, and his cleaning up was impeccable following the generous use of dust sheets.

I telephoned just after 9-00am and asked that someone could come and have a look at a coulpe of leaks in my roof. Steve and his Dad were on my doorstep at 12-30 and carried out an inspection there and then. They told me what the problem was and sorted it out on the spot. They also replaced some pointing which had been poorly done by someone else. Very effient and courteous and didn't charge the earth either. Recommended!!!

Mr.Povey did an excellent job at half the price another builder quoted.As others have stated,he leaves no mess and is very reliable.We shall use him again.
