Wonderful, friendly, arrived early! I was unavoidably left with half a new central heating system installed in a rental house - the boiler needed to be attached to newly installed pipework, flue to be drilled through a thick wall, and electrics connected. Another plumber on this list (won't let me name them) was very sniffy, not enough to make it worthwhile doing. WR Sowden came round, viewed what had been done, and gave a fair estimate on the cost of finishing the job. The came two days before they'd promised, and charged a fair price, as agreed plus a couple of unavoidable extra's. Well recommended, and will be using again for annual checks.

We were very pleased with the installation of our daughter's new bathroom, including tiled walls and floor and electrical installations. The work was carried out to a very high standard and with great focus on customer care. I employed Mark on recommendations from Which local and can say that I was not disappointed.He and his son made a beautiful job of transforming my bathroom and took on jobs extra to what had been agreed upon, and not quoted for, without any hesitation. Having decided to do a full bathroom refit, I've recently been on the rounds of showrooms, checking quality, price, etc. In the end I used a small family-owned local supplier called trader , and was so impressed by the quality and value-for-money and sheer excellence of their friendly, knowledgeable service that I felt I must write this review. For example, the shower-bath I bought carried a lifetime warranty from the manufacturer (Balterley), was sleek and beautiful, and of a quality that equalled or bettered baths I'd seen at double or even treble the price. The staff were full of excellent advice. They'd supplied custom-made high gloss doors to my spec for the airing cupboard, and when I said I intended to fit these myself (I'm an avid DIY-er) they explained to me how proper kitchen-style concealed cup hinges were the best thing to use, then GAVE me the hinges, made me a special template to control the position of the drill for the cup-holes, then even lent me the special drill I would need! Their showroom is small but select, and full of excellent quality, keenly priced kitchen and bathroom displays. I found them a pleasure to deal with and can unhesitatingly recommend them.

Andy has recently fitted a new bathroom and toilet for me and I cannot praise too highly the quality of his work and the manner in which he carried it out. It was a big job which took 5 weeks but he was at my house 5 days a week and didn't go off doing other work until he had completed my installation. I had a number of estimates for the work and while he wasn't the cheapest I thought he gave reasonable value for money considering what was involved.

Tim has recently completed an exterior repaint of our house. We received his quote, which was professionally presented several months earlier. However, the awful weather this summer had prevented several planned start dates. During this time he kept us constantly informed by both text and e-mail as to his intentions and we were grateful that the job was not done piecemeal. The task was carried out very thoroughly with a great deal of attention paid to the repair and preparation of the woodwork prior to undercoating. This no doubt contributed to the excellent finish achieved with the final gloss coat. In summary, A first class job, a tidy worker, pleasant personality and did exactly what he said he would do.
