I have been to Lisa for several years now and highly recommend all the therapies that she offers. Reflexology has not only helped with on-going health problems, but is also relaxing, enjoyable and leads to a wonderful nights sleep! Her counseling skills have helped me deal with a difficult time in my life and it is always done with great compassion.

I have been to trader twice now, both times my treatments were completed by Siobhan. She was extremely informative, polite, friendly and put me totally at ease. The treatments were thorough and I was really happy with the service I received. The salon is clean, comfortable and in a quiet location which all adds to the relaxing atmosphere.

Best therapist for craniosacra therapy in the area- I've used most of the others or have known them. I find her more helpful for any of the many problems I've had than the osteopaths or cranio osteopaths I've used. She's very experienced, powerful & sensitive. Works extremely well with any kind of trauma, can resolve most issues in the body. Has tutored at the Karuna Training in Dartmoor. If you want a holistic, deep treatment for sorting out problems or just to resource you then you will find her really helpful.

I had lower back pain. After trying osteopaths and chiropractors without success I discovered Dr Lee and after 2 sessions I was fine and able to go back to work. I would recommend any back pain sufferers to seek her help!!

I would like to put forward for local services, Cathryne and Andy Eckley of St Annes on Sea, for their complimentary therapies, of which I experienced Reiki healing, Reiki Drum, and Reiki crystal grid work. The Reiki healing for me was wonderfully calming, relaxing and restorative. I received some amazing insights and healing with the Reiki drum sessions, and had amazing results with the Reiki crystal grid that Cathryne did. {There are other testimonials on their website too.} I find they are excellent at what they do, and their charges are very reasonable, as their motivation is to help as many people as possible {and animals eg horses, which is one of Andy's specialisms}.  They are both really lovely people.

I am a long haul airline pilot flying Boeing 747s around the world for "the world's favourite airline"... Sitting down for hours and hours on end used to be excruciating agony on a regular basis. Now, thanks to Chiropractic care at the trader , I rarely even get a slight stiffness in my lower back. My immune system is much stronger and I no longer suffer with a long term skin rash or Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). I am indebted to trader for giving me a new lease of life and I cannot express how lucky I am that I discovered this miracle cure. I had been struggling with a bad back for nearly 35 years since a motorbike accident at 16 when I severely broke my leg leaving me with one leg 24mm shorter than the other. Needless to say that as a teenager I totally refused to wear a shoe or heel that was built-up to compensate. Little did I know what trouble I was storing up for myself in later life! Rather unluckily, when my lower back first started to be painful, I was recommended to an acupuncturist (a course of 10 visits to an Osteopath previously had not improved anything at all). Two visits to said acupuncturist later and the pain disappeared for five years so I thought I'd found the answer. Alas, with passing years, the bouts of pain became more frequent and the effect of the acupuncture lasted for less and less time. I now realise that the acupuncture just relieved the pain but actually did nothing to cure the underlying problem which, in my case, was a slowly worsening scoliosis (curvature) of my spine. With hindsight, walking round with my hips displaced from the horizontal by 24mm for 35 years was never going to end well for my spine was it? In all that time I'd never seen a doctor (being frightened as to what surgical fusion remedies they might have had in store for me - there was some real butchery going on 25 odd years ago; and still is!) preferring to keep myself as close to what nature intended as I possibly could. Little did I know that my spine was degenerating further with each passing year! Eventually, about 8-10 years ago, and as medical science had rolled on, my acupuncturist suggested that I did use my private medical insurance to get an MRI scan. He said that if he knew exactly where the problem was, he could target the treatment more effectively (although it was still only going to relieve the pain NOT cure the underlying problem). A few weeks later, a simple x-ray proved that my posture was simply appalling and I was sent for a course of physiotherapy. This did help for a while BUT THE UNDERLYING CURVATURE WAS STILL PRESENT AND, OF COURSE, WALKING AROUND WITH THE SAME HIP DISPLACEMENT, STILL WORSTENING. The physiotherapy was not curing the underlying problem. Eventually, 4 years ago, after a couple particularly debilitating flare-ups within just a couple of months of each other, I was so desperate after being unable to do anything but lie on the sofa in terrible pain for 3 days that I decided to go for something I'd always been frightened of previously. I Googled for 'Chiropractors near Canterbury'. Luckily, one of the first hits was the trader and, after some extensive reading of their website, I booked myself in for a check-up which turned out to have been the best thing I ever did! It was immediately obvious to me from before my first consultation with Dr. Christian that a condition that had taken 35 years to develop to its (then) current debilitating state was not going to be fixed in an instant and would require on-going treatment for some time. Dr. Christian took new standing x-rays and pointed out that I had NUMEROUS subluxations (misaligned bones) in my entire spine and not just in the lower back where the worst of the scoliosis was. My neck was actually in an even worse state than my lower back! (I had been getting neck pain but nothing to keep me lying in bed or on the sofa for days on end). Anyway, I signed up to a program of Corrective Chiropractic care and initially attended three times per week for the first 12 weeks, then twice per week for the following 12 weeks and have been attending once per week ever since (just coming to the end of my fourth year now). The pain in my lower back eased quite quickly (within the first few weeks) and has continued to improve since then to the point where, for a couple of years now, I rarely even remember that I have a bad back! Basically, I now have my heel built-up (on Dr. Christian's recommendation) to equalise my hips in the horizontal plane and the weekly spinal adjustments, deep tissue massage and associated stretching regime are putting my spine back into the shape it is supposed to be in. I could clearly see the improvements because the before and after x-rays demonstrated this. There is NO other way (and no quick way) to cure a severely misshapen spine and I consider myself so lucky to have discovered the trader before the damage to my spine became too severe to be recoverable. I have been given a new lease of life just in time! Dr Christian instructs principles of Think Well, Move Well, Eat Well and Choose Well. He has really helped me with nutrition and I have completely changed my eating habits as a result of his advice (which complements other dietary learning I'd discovered elsewhere). He also explains how important it is for the spine to be straight as all of our vital organs are linked via our central nervous system which runs through our spine. If the spine is misaligned, the flow of nerve energy is diminished and the affected organs will not function to their full potential. The added health benefits I have received from having all my organs functioning more effectively, coupled with my new much healthier diet (and I'm still not perfect on that score by any means) have been amazing. As I mentioned earlier, my immune system is now much stronger than it used to be and I no longer suffer from a long-term skin rash and the irritable bowel syndrome that I'd had ever since my original motorbike accident. My whole body is now performing better than it has done for years and I owe it all to Dr. Christian and the trader . I used to be in excruciating agony on a regular basis. But not anymore! My whole health has improved dramatically. I am indebted to trader for giving me a new lease of life and I cannot express how lucky I am that I discovered this miracle cure (albeit not an instant one) of chiropractic care before it was too late for me. At its worst, I would have paid any money to have my pain taken away... trader has given me that gift for a very affordable monthly payment. Go to BodyWell, get your spine checked out and learn the truth of how your body works. When you know the truth you can make a more informed decision about what's best for you... I'm not looking back now.

I was recommended to Trevor by my brother in law 6 months ago and have been receiving treatment sessions at his home since. Trevor is very knowledgeable on the human body and is fully trained in Oriental Bodywork, Massage Therapy and Remedial Yoga. Whatever pains or issues I have problems with, Trevor is able to assess from my posture and work miracles with his deep tissue massage skills to cure even long standing pains which my own Doctor was unable to diagnose. He has also cured my wife's painful Achilles with a combination of massage and exercises. He is also trained in Yoga and Meditation by Buddhist Masters and practises sports massage, shiatsu, KORE therapy, ammo fu/abdominal massage and applied kinesiology. He is very dedicated to his lifestyle vocation, extremely trustworthy and with a background in lecturing very detailed in his diagnosis and counselling methods. I would highly recommend Trevor and his wife, Nicky who also practises independently from their home.

Amazing range of supplements, vitamins, minerals and books upstairs in addition to the health foods downstairs. Incredibly knowledgeable staff who are very willing to advise, especially owner Wendy Kent. Visiting specialists, allergy tests, talks. Helpful notices re local groups and events.

I went to trader for their taster offer which included; a back massage, an indian head massage and reiki. I found the salon very peaceful and relaxing, especially the treatment room, the music, the plynth, the scents and the therapist made the experience very comfortable. I was in for just over an hour and felt thoroughly relaxed afterwards.

I have been suffering with a painfull shoulder for over 7 weeks & as it did not seem to be getting better consulted my doctor who advised me to see a physiotherapist, so contacted this practice as my son had used them about 5 years ago with back problems after a motor cycle accedent & was cured of his problem. I contacted them & my first appointment was within 4 days. After the first appointment I was not in so much pain, I am now about to go for my 3rd appointment & feel almost cured of pain. They also apparently do acupuncture, massage therapy, among other procedures. Would thoroughly recomend. Very plesent therapists.

I got to know Jane Wrafter out of a medical need – back problems – and she was recommended to me by my osteopath. Jane specialises in pilates and dance aerobics but her company offers yoga and zumba as well. Since Sep 2010, in a small group of 4, we have regularly attended a pilates class with Jane and warmly recommend her. She has excellent teaching and communication skills, and is observant and caring; she allows each of us to work at our own pace and yet encourages us at every class to push our personal boundaries. Jane is really keen to see us progress and is a very good motivator. Each of our small group (she also teaches large groups and one-to-one) is conscious of the progress we have made and is convinced of the benefits in health and fitness that these classes bring us. Whilst working hard at the exercise, we also have fun. The same is true of Jane’s dance aerobics class (large group) which we have sampled. Highly recommended!
