Alloy wheel refurbishment in the UK

I had a dent and scratches on the side of my car,so got in touch with Auto Refurbishment who came to the house.In a few hours the job was finished to a high standard of workmanship.I would recommend Tim to anyone who requires car body repaires.

Had lovely metal garden benches and cafe tables, but they'd all got very shabby, with flaking paint, bare metal and rust. Steve Garsed dipped and coated them, using colours from his wide range of colours (BS and RAL). They look even better than new, with a stronger, longer-lasting finish and have been much admired.

I've used trader twice to refurbish/repair a "kerbed" alloy wheel. On both occasions they have done an excellent job with the wheel matching the remaining 3 wheels perfectly and the repair being un-noticable. They offer both a mobile service where they will come to your home remove the wheel, repair it then refit it all whilst you wait or alternatively you can remove the wheel yourself take it to them and then collect it a day or so later. There prices are very reasonable.

Had very badly scraped front off-side alloy. (I hit a kerb - the wife wasn't driving!) Price of a new wheel was near £160.00. Joshua was keen to help. Job done the same day, with great enthusiasm - just over 2 hours. Good as new! Strong recommendation!

I went to trader , having seen some very good work they'd done. They were very helpful, provided a quote but were honest enough to recommended I try the local Merc dealer as my alloys were diamond cut and under warranty. After a protracted time I had my wheels done by Mercedes but I think trader should be congratulated on their honesty. My car's now out of warranty - I'll be going there when my wheels need sorting next time.

Tim offers an excellent and competitive local service (as opposed to larger franchise operations) for small repairs, scuffs, alloy wheel repairs usually completed in one day to a very high standard, either paintless dent removal or more usual methods. Literally cannot see where repair and respray was done. Also contactable by mobile.

The wheels of my car were definately past there best but as the car has done nearly 160,000 miles, I didn't want to spend a fortune. After some research on the net found the trader site and discovered that if you removed the wheels yourself and delivered them to their depot they will refurbish them for only £40+vat per wheel. Upon arrival was met by Steve, who was friendly, professional and knowledgable. The finished wheels looks like new and the price even includes rebalancing the wheels with stick on weights on the inside of the wheel - so no ugly external weights to chip the lacquer on the refurbished wheels. If you don't fancy sticking your car on axle stands yourself, trader will come to your home and place the car on stands for you, take the wheels away then refit upon return. Alternatively they can collect your car on trade plates, or have a mobile service to refurbish your wheels outside your home if you prefer. All the options and costs are on their website to play around with the different cost options but if you prefer to speak to a person, would suggest that you ask for Steve for truly excellent customer service.

We've used Martin's for tyres for several years and when I badly dinged one of our alloys we phoned them for a recommendation. It turned out they sub-contract it themselves. They remove the tyres, send them away for refurb, put the tyres back on and all for £75. I was thrilled as it was a really nasty ding and when it came back it looked just like the other wheels on the car - no-one will ever know!

Excellent honest service and you can't beat their prices. Why look any further? I went in with a flat tyre asking for it to be replaced, they came back & said I didn't need a new tyre as they could repair it for £10.
