The team at Alan Green's are always helpful and courteous - never make you feel small or ignorant. Whether it's a major repair on a tractor or lawnmower or simply help in finding a replacement for an unusual size of nut, these are the people to help. If they can't help directly they will point you in the direction of someone who can. Over the past few years they've helped me get my car through its MOT, fixed the rotavator, repaired numerous punctures, got the tractor going again, supplied lots of batteries and given tons of good, sound advice.

Having used Nigel Farr's business since 1983, we would heartily agree with all the comments posted by Davewilk. The fact that they stock a good range of timber, particularly shuttering timber, fencing posts and rails, hand and power tools, ironmongery, paints, preservatives and gardening products has been very useful to us, as has their speedy free local delivery service for heavy items like timber, cement and their high quality multi-purpose compost bags, etc. If one suddenly runs short of nuts, bolts, screws or nails in the middle of a DIY job, it is of great benefit to be able to get them from Farr's without delay or wasting time and fuel having to change and drive into town.

As well as agricultural hardware, much household hardware is also in stock. The staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable and will carry heavy items out to your car without being asked. Why go into Shrewsbury when such a good shop is on the door step? The service and prices are extremely good.

I have been a regular customer for over 10 years. Robson & Cowan is a family firm, the store has a unique and friendly atmosphere, making it a pleasure to shop there. Staff are knowledgeable and helpful, customer service and delivery service is second to none. Although not always the absolute cheapest they still offer excellent value, and you have the confidence they will deal with any problems with your purchase. Also an excellent service and repairs department. I am always confident that their advice is reliable- if they don't think an item is what you need, they will tell you, rather than pursue a sale. there are some real bargains to be picked up in their country and equestrian clothing dept, either in the regular sale rail or when they run a seasonal reduction.

On two occasions they have sold and installed Freesat digital TV equipment. Both times they were cheaper than national stores, turned up promptly and did the work quickly and efficiently.
